Georgia Bell Earl, 79, of Castalia, died early Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in the Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born April 11, 1928, in Georgia to the late Harrison & Rosa Lee (Gilstrap) Reese.
She retired from New Departure Hyatt in 1984 after more than 30 years of service. Georgia attended the Sandusky Church of God and enjoyed knitting. She also had an extensive collection of angels and bells and had a knack of making sureeverything was in order.
Georgia is survived by her son Robert (Dawn) Earl of Castalia, her grandchildren Crystal Hodgkinson, Tony Earl, William Mock, Bobby Locke, Debbie McPeak, Brenda Clark, Linda Evans and Gary Locke, several great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Harold (Rosa Mae) Reese of SouthCarolina; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Earl, in 1985, one daughter, Mary Locke, and her sister, Helen Clemens.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave.,Sandusky. Dr. Porter B. Richards Jr. will officiate.
Burial will be in CastaliaCemetery.
