Paul A. Witter, 79, of Norwalk, died Monday evening, Nov. 26, 2007, at his fiance's home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Painesville, Ohio, to Cleetus B. and Margarite (Murphy) Witter, now deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for W.L. Mead Trucking Company for 30 years, Schoenegee Trucking Company for seven years and Yellow Freight for eight years. He enjoyed going to car shows, Harley Davidson motorcycles, working in his yard, wine tasting and going out to eat. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and fiance.
He is survived by his fiance, Mary Cushman Adams of Willard; his daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Rob Viets of Avon Lake, Ohio, Pamela Witter of Kansas, Ohio, Cindy and David Tully of Las Vegas, and Pollyanna and Steve Akers of Vermilion; his sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Gayle Witter, and Randy Witter, all of Norwalk; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy Foreman of Shelby, Ohio, and Shirley and Jack Toney of Florida; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Betty Witter of Bellevue; and by his half sister, Darlene Witter; and half brothers, Cletus Witter Jr. and Roger Witter, both of Florence, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosemary Martin and Margie Lundell; his brother, Robert Witter; and by his half sister Ethel Airwyth.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Friday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
