Ronald Lynn Butler, 66, of Arion Street, Bellevue, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was a beloved husband, father, friend and devoted pet lover.
He was born Oct. 29, 1941, in Sandusky and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-67 and served in Vietnam from 1966-67. He retired from Delco Chassis, Sandusky, in 1993. He was a life member of The American Legion Post 46, Bellevue, a life member of VFW Post 1238, Bellevue, UAW Local 913, and UAW Veteran Region 2B Local 913 Sandusky.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dolores M. "Dee" Farrell Boles Butler of Bellevue; sons, Joseph P. Butler of Sandusky and John R. Boles of Bellevue; daughters, Theresa C. Butler of Toledo, Anita "Tina" Leber of Bellevue, Cheryl (Dale) Hoffman of Bellevue and Kimberly (Brian) Edmonds of Vickery; his mother, Margaret L. Williams Butler Reed of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Butler of Sandusky; and sister, Darlene Butler of Newport Brach, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Jude Butler in 1995; father, Walter L. "Dagwood" Butler in 2000; and his stepmother, Mary B. Butler in 1997.
Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Very Rev. Keith Stripe. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
