Marjorie Ann Carney Andrews, 85, of Seattle, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007.
She was the wife of John S. Andrews, a former Ohio Republican State Chairman, who preceded her in death in 2001. They were married July 4, 1964, in Toledo. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sally Carney; her sister, Mary Carney; and her brother, Leo Carney.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally Andrews Moore; son-in-law, Pat Moore; and grandchildren, John and Samantha Moore, all of Issaquah, Wash.
She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Castalia, and graduated from Margaretta High School in Castalia in 1939. She was secretary to two Ohio Congressmen, A. David Baumhart and Charles A. Mosher, and traveling secretary for Henry Cabot Lodge in the 1960 presidential campaign. She was a member of the Potomac Women's Republican Club, a dedicated volunteer for the Republican National Committee, and was active in campaigns for Jean Roesser in Maryland. She had resided at Buckingham's Choice in Adamstown, Md., and at Park Shore in Seattle, Wash.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at Coyle Funeral Home in Toledo. A graveside service will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
