Harvey "Rob" Robert Geer, 60, of Sandusky, died Oct. 21, 2007, in The Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 1, 1946, in Ridgeway, Pa., and resided in Sandusky for many years. Rob graduated from college with a degree in secondary education and taught high school English literature. He then went into the field of accounting and consulting. He was employed by Zimmerman and Associates as a project architect responsible for the financial reconstruction of numerous hospitals throughout the United States.
He enjoyed traveling and also listening to the blues. His passion was his four Corgi dogs. He was a member of the Western Reserve Pembroke Corgi Club, the Ohio Valley Corgi Club, and The Sugar Bush Kennel Club. He was co-founder of the North Coast Ohio Corgi Rescue, a non-profit organization. He was learning to "handle" dogs, so he could eventually become a showman.
Rob is survived by his life partner, Raymond Warrer Jr. of Sandusky; his sister, Cheryl J. Fox of Rixford, Pa.; and his mother, Rachel Geer, of St. Mary's, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Geer.
Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Saturday for a Celebration of Life service at the Mariners Club, 615 Mariner Village, Huron, which is part of Sawmill Creek Resort, Rye Beach exit of Ohio 2.
