Joan (Stogryn) Logan, 77, of Perkins Twp., died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Sandusky, the daughter of Carl and Pauline (Schwerer) Stogryn. She was a 1947 graduate of Sandusky High School, lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and was a member of the Huron Eagles.
Joan stayed home raising her family, enjoyed tending her flower garden, reading, watching the Buckeyes and Indians and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, William J., with whom she just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 29; two sons, Jeffrey (Lori) of Sandusky and Robert of Toledo; grandchildren, Eric (Kristen), Kelli, Julie, Mallory, Travis, Abby and Bryon; great-granddaughter, Cadence; and several nieces and nephews survive her.
Her son, Brian, who died Sept. 25, 1984; twin sister, Joyce Spafford, who died Jan. 4, 2004; and her parents preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday followed by a committal service at 10 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Sandusky.
