Kathleen D. "Kate" (Holman) Font, 53, of Sandusky and formerly of Lorain, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2007, in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
She was born June 23, 1954, in Sandusky. Kate was a 1972 graduate of Sandusky High School and a 1976 graduate of University of Cincinnati.
She was employed as a special education teacher in Covington, Ky., then manager of Future Generation Day Care in Lorain. She was also employed as Case Manager and Assistant Director of the Vocation Services for the Work & Rehabilitation Center of Greater Cincinnati.
Kate has spent her last years as the primary caregiver to her mother.
She is survived by her mother Millie Holman of Sandusky, one sister Robin (Michael) Greene of Collins, and many aunts, uncles other relatives and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert L. Holman in 1989, her maternal grandparents Norman and Augusta Oswald and her paternal grandparents Robert and Irene Holman.
Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Monday at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave.,Sandusky. The Rev. Erie A. Rickel of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
