Marjorie K. Owings, 86, of 333 E. Water St., Sandusky died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Nov. 13, 2007, at her residence.
She was born May 23, 1921, in Sandusky, and was a 1939 graduate of Sandusky High School. Marjorie also attended Ursuline College and Heidelberg College. She retired from the Sandusky Library where she worked for morethan 60 years.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky; Martha Pitkin Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; was a charter member of the Mid-American Chapter of the Music Box Society; and the Miniature Book Society.
She is survived by one cousin, John Scofield of Johns Island, S.C.; one niece, Pamela Robinson of San Francisco; and her beloved friends, Linda and John Poggiali ofSandusky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Paul Owings in 1982, and her parents, Karl and Margaret (Alspach) Kugel.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Pfeil Funeral Home,Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeralservices will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. John B. Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
