Margaret F. (Demma) Grubbe Talbot, 92, formerly of 1301 Hollyrood Road, Sandusky, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 13, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
She was born June 10, 1915, in Sandusky, the daughter of Charles and Lena (Lamantina) Demma. She worked for many years in both of her family's businesses, Demma's Restaurant and The Cameo. She was a lifetime member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, was a life member of the Italian-American Beneficial Club, and was also a member of the Orioles Club.
Her daughter, Sandra Grubbe (Kenneth) Johnson of Castalia; son, William (Julie) Talbot of Bellevue; grandchildren, Greg, Gary and Ken Johnson, Renee Laws and Eric and Jason Talbot; great-grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Brian, Andrew, Jillian and Caleb; sister, Providence "Babe" Krueger of Sandusky; special niece, Annette Demma of Sandusky; niece, Joanne Cerneck; nephews, Ken and Robert Krueger and Chuck, Pete and Gasper Lococo; and several great-nieces and nephews survive her.
Her husband, Theodore H. Talbot, who died in 1998; her parents; sister, Frances Canino; and brothers, Philip Demma and August Lococo preceded her in death.
Friends may call 2-4 and6-8 p.m. Friday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky. The Rev. Krzysztof Kardzis will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
