Beatrice Marenberg, 84, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, Nov.13, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center-Main Campus.
She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Toledo, to Laura and Morris Moscovit. She married Isador Zaner in 1945 and they were married for 23 years until his death in 1968. She married Lewis Marenberg in 1973 and moved to Sandusky. She was active in the Oheb Shalom Temple in Sandusky and was treasurer for 23 years. Beatrice worked as a payroll supervisor in Toledo for A.P. Parts Co. before moving to Sandusky.
Her husband Lewis Marenberg; daughter, Claire (Stanford) Shulman of Evanston, Ill.; sons, Lorin (Ilene) Zaner of Toledo, Lee (Chris) Marenberg of Toledo, and Kevin (Ruth) Marenberg of Sandusky; and nine grandchildren survive her.
Her first husband, Isador Zaner; her parents, Laura and Morris Moscovitz; her sisters, Clara Zaner and Betty Berete; her brother, Charles Moscovitz; and her stepson, Alan Zaner, preceded Beatrice in death.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Friday until services at 11:30 a.m. in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Student Rabbi Aaron Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Oheb Shalom Cemetery, Sandusky.
