Loretta M. "Corky" Stanley, 77, of 164 W. Sprucewood Drive, Sandusky, died early Saturday afternoon, Nov. 10, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born May 13, 1930, in Joliet, Ill., the daughter of William and Hazel (Fiske) Lambert. She tended bar in many of the local clubs in Sandusky, and enjoyed bowling, sports and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sandusky Eagles and the Sandusky AMVETS Women's Auxiliary.
She leaves her daughter, Jill Herborn of Sandusky; two sons, Ralph "Skip" (Gloria) Bickley of Norwalk and Wayne (Sheila) Bickley of San Bernadino, Calif.; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Chris, Sheryl, Erin, Kelly and Shane; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (Gene) Austin of New York and Linda (Robert) Fischer of Florida; a brother, Bill (Juanita) Lambert of Milan; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a special friend, Gerald Gardner of Sandusky.
Her husband, Richard Stanley; her parents; a sister, Mary Lou Lasch; and a brother, Bob Lambert, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, with her son, the Rev. Wayne Bickley, officiating. Groff Funeral Home, Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
