Michele A. (Smith) Painter, 52, of Sandusky, passed away early Thursday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2007. She made her final journey home to the Lord in the comfort of her own home, with family and close friends.
Michele was born Dec. 10, 1954, in Sandusky and was a 1972 graduate of Perkins High School and received an associate's degree from Ohio State University. She was a supervisor at JC Penneys and had held this position with much love, pride and dedication. She will best be known for her positive spirits, personality and most of all, her styles of fashion. She also enjoyed dancing, sporting events and was an avid fan of her Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by her three children, Drew A. Smith of Sandusky, Ashlee M. Smith of New York, N.Y., and Erin E. Painter of Columbia, S..C; mother, Rose P. (Corso) Collins of Huron; father, Gene M. (Carol) Swain of Sandusky; brother, Michael A. Swain of Sandusky; nieces and nephews; special dedicated friends, Patty and Jeff Meyers, Sue and Bill Kelley, Sharon and Jeff Dubois, Linda and Dan Bertsch, Peggi and Dave Bertsch, Lana and Dale Schnittker and Suzie and Michael Brunner.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Laura Swain; and maternal grandparents, Peter and Angeline Corso.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Gathering Space of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be 9:45 a.m. Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
