Betty Jane Miller, 85, of Bellevue, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, in her home on Smith Avenue.
Betty was born Sept. 8, 1922, to the now deceased Charles and Marie B. (Morgan) Murphy in Bellevue. She married Arthur D. Miller on April 11, 1942, at First Baptist Church in Bellevue. Betty was a homemaker and devoted much her time to caring for her family. She is a 1940 graduate of Bellevue High School, a member of First Baptist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union of Trainmen. Betty enjoyed crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles.
Betty is survived by herhusband, Arthur of Bellevue; four daughters, Arlene (Leo) Missler of Bellevue, Kay (Jerry) Zieber of Bellevue, Peggy (Bill) Plate of Bellevue and Sally Miller of Tiffin; a sister, Patricia (Vincent) Wise of Bellevue; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Miller; a brother, Robert Murphy; a great-grandson, Jax Dougherty; and sisters, Lucille Scheer, Mildred Ledman, Edna Mae Murphy, Margaret Ann Murphy and Laura Leid.
Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a services will be 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Bellevue City Cemetery.
