H. James "Jim" Hendricksen, 89, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Friday evening, Nov. 2, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
He was born Jan. 12, 1918, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1936. Jim went on to college where he earned a four year degree at Case Institute of Technology, Cleveland. He was the owner and operator of Beilstein Co. Laundry and Dry Cleaning from which he retired after many years. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a past member of Sandusky Sailing Club, Sandusky Yacht Club, and formerly of Rockwell Springs Trout Club. He was on the Board of Directors of G. & C. Foundry, Third National Bank, Master Product Co. in Cleveland; and, at the time of his death, was with Firelands Regional Medical Center (Memorial Hospital) for nearly 30 years. He was an avid golfer during retirement at Thunderbird Senior League and other local leagues.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn M. (Miller); daughter, Cathy S. (Robert) Agnone of Northbrook, Ill.; son, James H. Hendricksen of Savannah, Ga.; grandson, Alex Agnone; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard W. and Norma (Beilstein) Hendricksen; and a sister, Jean H. Carroll.
At his request there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be later at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
