Richard P. Felske, 76, of Castalia, died Saturday morning, Nov. 3, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky after a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Sandusky, and was a life long resident of Castalia. He was a 1948 graduate of Margaretta High School and was a U. S. Marine Corp veteran. Richard retired from the Ford Motor Company in February 1996, after 30 years of employment. Dick was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia where he served on several committees. He was also a member of Commodore Denig Post 83, American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 444, both of Sandusky.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Jo Ann Radford; two sons, Terry (Fay) Felske of Huron and Larry Felske of Castalia; one daughter, Patricia (Charles) Grahl of Sandusky; seven grandchildren, Cheryl, Richard, Erich, Sarah, Tabatha, Alyssa and Logan; and one great-grandson, Benjamin; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ollie (Hoffman) Felske; one brother, Robert Felske; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia and from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until services at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia. The Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
