Dorothy "Dot" Bowser, 89, of Berlin Heights, formerly of Pennsylvania, died Thursday evening, Nov. 1, 2007, in Erie County Care Facility in Huron.

She was born June 16, 1918, in Hollidaysburg, Pa. and lived in Berlin Heights since 1953. She was an avid knitter and sewer, loved to cook, had many 4-H groups and taught CCD at the Methodist Church for many years.

She loved talking and working with children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Gilbert) Hensley of Berlin Heights; her sons, Jesse (Prudy) Bowser of Berlin Heights and Lester (Suzanne) Bowser of Huron; a sister, Thelma Schafer of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; brothers, Amadeus Miller of Metoleous, Ore., Glenn Miller of Madras, Ore., and Joe Miller of Bend, Ore.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South St., Berlin Heights, where services will be 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
