Jean F. Alley, 80, of Sandusky, died from cancer early Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, after a brief stay in Stein Hospice Care Center.
Jean was born July 30, 1927, the daughter of Samuel J. and Rose (Knerr) Bickley. After graduating from Sandusky High School, Jean lived in Galion, Ohio. She married J. Donald Alley on July 10, 1958, in Winter Haven, Fla., and returned to live the rest of her life in Sandusky. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the 50 United States. Jean retired from Erie County Investment Corp. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Ellsworth and Lynn (Joe) Bickley; sisters, Louise Fenton and RuthEllen Robinson.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Elmer Novak will officiate. Interment of her remains will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
