Daniel Pasley, 82, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Oct. 29, 2007, in Lutheran Memorial Home.
He was born July 1, 1925, in Ironton, Ohio, the son of Charles and Gertrude (Freeman) Pasley. He lived in and graduated from the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home near Xenia, Ohio. Daniel served his country with the U.S. Army in the Philippines, just after World War II. He retired in 1977 after 30 years of employment with New Departure Hyatt, and also owned Williams Music on Market Street, downtown Sandusky.
Daniel was a member of Community Church of the Nazarene, Sandusky, and UAW Local 913.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sharon Krawetzki, whom he married Aug. 8, 1998; a daughter, Denise (Richard) Bassett of Apple Valley, Calif.; two sons, Daniel of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Michael (Shirley) of Phoenix; a stepson, Jason Krawetzki of Lorain; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Pasley of Sandusky; and two nephews, David and Eric Pasley.
His second wife, Aline; parents; and a brother, Robert Pasley, preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, and from 10 a.m. Thursday until funeral services at 11 a.m. in Community Church of the Nazarene, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. David Flack will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
