Margaret A. Knerr, 81, of 3712 Scottley Drive, Sandusky, died Monday morning, Oct. 29, 2007, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.
She was born May 9, 1926, in Sandusky, and was employed by Perkins Public Schools for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sandusky, Sandusky Yacht Club, Sidebusters Garden Club and the Sunshine Club. Margaret's hobbies included gardening, golf and traveling. She was blessed with many close friends and great neighbors.
She is survived by one son, Gary A. (Jane) Knerr of Moscow, Idaho; two grandchildren, David and Jenny Knerr; and one sister, Jane McCord of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Donald A. Knerr in 1994, and her parents, Atwell and Irene (Marshall) Garries.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, and from 9:30 a.m. Friday until funeral services at 10:30 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church, 265 Jackson St., Sandusky. The Rev. Kimberly Secrist-Ashby will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
