Audrey A. Walton, 77, of Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 27, 2007, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 30, 1930, in Altoona, Pa., and was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a homemaker, but in her earlier days she had worked at Citizens Bank in Sandusky. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many.
A longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Ruth Circle, she had volunteered for other activities at the church. She volunteered at American Red Cross, in Perkins School System as a teacher's aide and in other service organizations in the area.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 53 years, Donald D. Walton; son, Chad A. (Laurie) Walton of Waterville, Ohio; daughter, Joy A. (Jeff) Bahnsen of Sandusky; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Colin, Cam, Max, Jaclene, Jilyen and Josh; brothers and sisters, Gloria Brown, Wilson (Joanne) Brown, Joyce Verillo, Kaye (Joan) Brown and Doris Wantz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. and Nellie (Tate) Brown; and three sisters, Patricia Mirabella, Sarah Stout and Ardis Fluke.
At her request visitation will be private. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron.
