Janice M. Chill, 72, of 5019 Strecker Road, Monroeville, died Friday afternoon, Oct. 19, 2007, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 14, 1935, in Monroeville, the daughter of Herb and Mildred (Okey) Myers. She married her husband, Julian G. Chill, on Sept. 6, 1952, in St. Marys Catholic Church, Sandusky, with the Rev. Dobmeyer officiating. She attended Calvary Temple in Sandusky and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughers, Gayle (Tom) Ward of Texas, Peggy (Christian) Moll of Gibsonburg, Ohio, and Bonny Layne of Shelby, Ohio; two sons, George (Valerie) Chill of Norwalk and Kenneth Chill of Monroeville; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Myers of Wisconsin; and a brother, Robert Myers of Milan.
Her parents; two sons, Gary Chill, who died in 1981, and Steven Chill, who died in 2004; and a sister, Jean Ryman, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, with the Rev. David Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
