Beatrice Stevenson, 57, of Sandusky and Texas, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus.
She was born Nov. 2, 1949, in Marlowe, Ala., to Lillie Hollinger Pollard and Raymond Hall. She was employed as a social worker for the Department of Human Services, and worked as a day care provider, for Cedar Point and Sawmill Creek.
Bea is survived by her children, Felecia (Charles) Gowdy, Charles Stevenson III, Yashicka Stevenson and Chase Stevenson; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane (Robert) Sledge and Sue Hollinger; brothers, Robert, Tyrone, Nate, Lydell, Odell, Dean and Harold; special aunt, Eva Reed; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dorothy Hayes, Lula Rollison, Donna Casteel, Euestine Black, Bertha Jones and Bev Rose; special cousin, Ruby Farris; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda; brother, William Hall; grandmother, Mary M. Pollard; special cousins, Clifford, Francis and Dennis Reed.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until services at 1 p.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. The Rev. Albert Porter will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
