Warren N. Canter, 67, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly in Firelands Regional Medical Center Friday evening, Oct. 12, 2007.
He was born Oct. 3, 1940, in South Webster., Ohio. He worked for Sandusky Dressed Beef for 26 years as maintenance supervisor and was working for Speer Brothers as a truck driver and equipment mover for the last 15 years. Warren was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Post 2529, American Legion Post 83, AMVETS, Huron Eagles Club 2875 and the NRA. He was a very caring husband, father and friend. He was known by many and respected by more.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie (Kuhnt) Canter, whom he married Oct.18, 1959; his daughter, Cynthia Kay Canter of Coto de Caza, Calif.; two sons, Jeffrey Noel (Jean Marie) Canter of Huntington Beach, Calfi., and David Max (Julie) Canter of Sandusky; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Gerald) Frey and Pam Rodriquez of Plain City; his brother, Eric W. (Lisa) Canter of Plain City; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Warren and Luanna Margaret (Crabtree) Canter; his brother, Lyle E. Canter Sr., and his nephew, Lyle E. Canter Jr.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate.
