Rose M. Sinwald, 89, of Sandusky, passed to her home in heaven late Thursday evening, Oct. 11, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Tarnov, Neb. She retired in 1980 from Westvaco where she had worked for many years. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, bingo and gardening. She was also an avid listener to the Cleveland Indians on the radio.
For years, she had volunteered at the Old Providence Hospital making little bears for children and was involved with the Community Supper Program. Rose was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.
She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Ed and Marv Sinwald of Huron; cousin, Cindy (Pat) Harrington of Sandusky; and other cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Anna (Bryg) Nosal; and husband, Allen E. Sinwald in 1982.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited 9:30 a.m. Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
