John Peter Wolf III, 58, of Sandusky, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Sandusky. He graduated from Sandusky High School. He worked at Scott Paper and was employed at Delphi Automotive for the last 23 years. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves. John was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Sandusky Eagles and American Legion Post 83. He competed in power lifting, loved camping and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his father, John P. Wolf Jr.; one daughter, Megan Wolf of Huron; one son, John P. Wolf IV of Sandusky; he was expecting his first grandchild in December; four sisters, Ginger Bickley Lantz of Springhill, Tenn., Loralen (Gary) Himes of Bremerton, Wash., June (Terry) Bechstein and Jackie Handy, both of Huron; two brothers, Robby (Karen) Wolf of Sandusky and Craig (Michelle) Wolf of Petersburg, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine V. Wolf; his brother, Jeffrey Allen Wolf; and three brothers-in-law.
Friends may call form 4-8 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
