Lois Joyce Browne, 83, of Sandusky, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 9, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Joyce was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Olean, N.Y., the daughter of Gustaf S. and Lois M. (York) Palmquist, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Olean High School and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., for two years. She lived in Jamaica for more than 30 years before moving to Sandusky and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia.
She is survived by a sister, Ruth Stevens of Sandusky; a brother, Stephen Palmquist of Olean; a niece, Kathleen (Mike) Lodge of Castalia; a nephew, Gordon Jones of Orlando, Fla., as well as other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Boberg, who died in World War II; and her second husband, Charles Browne.
At the request of the deceased, cremation will take place. Groff Funeral Home, Sandusky, is handling the arrangements.
