Edward J. Glassner, 54, of Sandusky, went to rest with the Lord early Monday morning, Oct. 8, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
He was a lifelong resident of Sandusky and dedicated a portion of his life serving his country in the U.S. Navy.
Ed specialized working on the computer which he enjoyed playing bingo on and other activities. He loved music and was a DJ for a long time in the local area.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia L. Marshall; father, Edward H. Glassner; stepmother, Alma Glassner; daughters, Kimberly Hoch and April Glassner; son, Scott Tippie; sisters, Brenda Hosko, Patricia Sullivan, Tammy Woodruff, Angel Sharp, Kris Schooner and Theresa and Mary Kay Glassner; brothers, John L. Sullivan Jr., Norman Marshall Jr., John Slaughter and Mark Martinez; and several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ed and Louise Glassner; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Delores Jamison; stepfather, Norman Marshall; brother, John C. Glassner; and sister, Delores Pearl Marshall.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park Mausoleum.
