Barbara A. (Rotsinger) Murphy, 74, of Sandusky, died early Friday morning, Oct. 5, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 5, 1933, in Sandusky. She worked as a pharmacist technician and retired from Rite Aide (the former Gray Drug Store) after 35 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Murphy, whom she married Dec. 24, 1950; her daughter, Debra A. (Randy H.) Geiger of Berlin Heights; two sons, James E. (Ann S.) Murphy and David E. (Linda S.) Murphy, both of Sandusky; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol (Howard) Wax of Castalia and Linda Hicks of Sandusky; two brothers, Donald (Marcia) Rotsinger and Richard (Brenda) Rotsinger; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Donald P. and Mary L. (Rowe) Rotsinger; and one great-grandchild, Te-Aijah Murphy.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 11 a.m. Monday. Pastor Richard Mick of Lighthouse Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
