David Zane Garner, 84, of Memphis, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007.
He retired as a major from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service to his country and 20 years with Sears.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wilma Garner; two daughters, Karen Gipson and Dianna Garner; and a son, David; one son-in-law and a daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren; three grandsons-in-law; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Bob; nieces and nephews; and three granddogs, Cassie, Zane and Bonnie.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. today at Memorial Park Funeral Home. His Victory service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
