Dorothy L. Ruffing, 81, of Norwalk, died Thursday evening, Sept. 27, 2007, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born July 9, 1926, in Calhoun County, Ala., to the now deceased Hope and Anna Lee (Gamble) Mobley and moved to this area in 1946 from Blue Mountain, Ala. She was a member of Norwalk First Baptist Church, and also a member of the retirees group of Kelsey/Hayes Foundry of Fremont. She was a former member of the Fremont Moose Auxiliary. She enjoyed raising birds and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Ruffing of Norwalk; sons, Edward A. (Sandy) Ruffing and Richard L. (Denise) Ruffing, both of Norwalk; and Thomas D. (Melissa) Ruffing of Antwerp, Ohio; daughters, Debra (Duke) Clonch of Vickery, Ohio, and Tammy (David) Rang of Kannapolis, N.C.; four stepsons and one stepdaughter from Vickery; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, George Mobley of Huntsville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, where services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Dr. Paul Lamb will officiate.
