Pauline Lillian Richards Sites, 80, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in her home on Gardener St., in Bellevue.
She was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of the now deceased Oscar and Lucina Schwinnen Ireland.
Pauline was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bellevue. She had been employed at the former A. Ruffing Store in Bellevue and enjoyed yard work and flower gardening.
She was a member of Eagles Aerie 490, Moose Lodge 238 and Club Amer-Ital, all in Bellevue, and the VFW in Delphos, Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff (Lucy) Richards of Dalton, Ohio, and David (Mary Beth) Richards of Medina, Ohio; two daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Godfrey of Marblehead and Diane (Jim) Sanders of Perkasie, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandsons; sister-in-law, Diana Ireland of Delphos; a special friend, Pat Scott of Bellevue; and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Ireland; two sisters, Margaret Stemen and Thelma Newton; a grandson, Jason Richards; her brother-in-law and sister-in law, Tom and Margaret Stark; her first husband, Joseph W. Richards, whom she married May 31, 1944; and her second husband, John E. Sites, whom she married May 8, 1987.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Internment will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made at the discretion of the family.
