Morris L. Harris, 63, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Columbus, Miss. He retired in 2006 from Lennox International in Bellevue, after many years of service. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and loved to barbeque and fish.
He is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Harris of Toledo and Danielle (Donnell) Butler of Sandusky; sons, Calvin Harris and Redmond Harris, both of St. Louis, Mo.; nine grandchildren; sisters, Mary Carter and Lois (Jewel) Wilkes, both of St. Louis, and Doris (Jerry) Matthews, Clementine (Fred) Washington and Joeann (Tony) Bonner, all of Sandusky; brothers, Glen Harris of Sandusky, and Everette (Linda) Harris and the Rev. Joe Nathan (Beverly) Harris, both of St. Louis; aunt, Mattie Winston of Sandusky; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny Will and Hattie B. (Witherspoon) Harris; and a brother, Benny Will Harris Jr.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. His brother, the Rev. Joe Nathan Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
