Jackie L. Tucker, 72, of Sandusky, passed away late Monday evening, Sept. 10, 2007, in her home after a brief illness.
She was born June 4, 1935, in Briceville, Tenn., and moved to the area in 1953. She owned and operated the Lions Park Trailer Court for many years. Throughout the years she also worked at Philco Co., Barr Rubber, Beer Barrel, Franketti's and other local businesses. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a past member of the Eastern Star Eleanor Chapter 331, I.A.B. Club Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald G. Tucker, whom she married May 18, 1953; daughter, Donna K. Tucker, and sons, Donald G. "Bub" (Jeanne) Tucker Jr. and Wayne P. (Carla) Tucker, all of Sandusky; foster son, Gary W. (Elsie) Greenich III of Galt, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friend, Rose Smith of Sandusky; and other friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, F. Wayne Huckabey; mother, Louise (Brown) Shaylak; and step-father, Christ Shaylak.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. John L. Mueller of Stein Hospice will be officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
