Martha L. Johnson, 67, of Sandusky, died Monday morning, Sept. 10, 2007, in her home.
She was born Jan. 21, 1940, in Laurel, Miss. She graduated in 1959 from Oak Park High School, Laurel, Miss. Since 1973, she was a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a retired seamstress.
Martha is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ceola Johnson; daughters, Charlotte (Paul) Terry and Pamela Lesley, both of Cleveland; stepdaughter, Helen Marie Jimerson of Fairfield, Calif.; brothers, Charles (Lois) Pettis of Sandusky and Raymond (Patricia) Pettis of Laurel; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie (White) Pettis; sister, Adrienne Beck; and a special cousin, Johnny Bender.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 608 King St., Sandusky. Rodger Hitchcock will officiate.
