Geraldine Ann Voltz, 90, of Sandusky, died early Thursday evening, Aug. 30, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1916, in Toledo. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, playing bingo and cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by sons, Thomas (Beth) Voltz of Sandusky, and James (Cook) Voltz of Georgetown, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Maureen Arndt of Genoa, Ohio; one brother, Charles St. Marie of Genoa, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Voltz; her daughter, Sally Roesch; her parents, Raymond and Gertrude (Sherer) St. Marie; two brothers, Louis and Raymond St. Marie; and one sister, Ilene Garey.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where prayer services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Denny St. Marie will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
