David J. Corwin Sr., 78, of Huron, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, in his home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Donora, Pa., and had been a resident of Huron since 1957. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky in 1988. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Huron where he served as Deacon, Elder and trustee. He enjoyed his computer and participated with the Meals on Wheels Program. He was a devoted caregiver to his wife for the past 17 years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emma Ruth (Skine); two sons, David J. Jr of Huron and Robert B. (Susan) Corwin of Orlando, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Daniel J. and Kate Corwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred W. and Anna (McVicker) Corwin; a sister, Dorothy Hartman; and brothers, James and Wesley Corwin.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, 225 Williams St., Huron, where services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. David Aber will officiate. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.
