Donald C. Green, 81, of Prospect Park, Pa., died Aug. 21, 2007, after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, A. Jeremy Green; a son, Richard C. (Micki) Green of Prospect Park; daughter, Donna J. (Richard) Markham of Windham, N.H.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty J. (Donald) Anders of Springfield, Pa., and Patricia B. (Jack) Bravard of Sandusky; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas F. Green.
Don graduated from Sandusky High School in 1944. He was president of his senior class and an outstanding athlete. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and an avid Buckeye fan. In 1954 he moved with his family to the Philadelphia area where he was employed by Pennsylvania Tidewater Dock Company. He later worked in a printing company until retirement.
He enjoyed vacationing at Deep Creek Lake, Md., where he owned a summer home.
Relatives and friends attended services on Friday at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, Norwood, Pa. Internment was private.
