Clair L. Sarr, 78, of Columbus, and formerly of Berlin Heights, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, in Main Street Terrace Nursing Home in Lancaster, Ohio.
He was born June 2, 1929, in Norwalk, and was a graduate of Berlin Heights High School and The Ohio State University. He was a former member of the First Congregational UCC in Berlin Heights. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for the State of Ohio as a fraud investigator for the Auditor of State for 25 years. He was an avid golfer and gardener.
He is survived by several cousins and his close friends, Deborah Fey of Lancaster and Frank Dowdle of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and his parents, Lavern and Dorothy (Schuster) Sarr.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 7, 2007, at Peaks Cemetery near Berlin Heights. Arrangements are being handled by Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, Berlin Heights.
