Mary L. Bittner, 74, of Sandusky, died Thursday evening, Aug. 23, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 4, 1932, in Castalia. She attended St. Mary Cental Catholic High School. She worked at Chef's Pantry for many years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed baking, reading, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Bittner; daughter, Lori (Rocky) Lynch of Sandusky; sons, John Bittner III and Scott (Patty) Bittner, both of Sandusky; five grandchildren, Chris Bittner, Heather (David) Algarin, Chad Alley, Ryan Koehler and Carrie Bittner; two great-grandchildren, Macey and Aaliyah; sister, Donna (Dutch) Greulich of Sandusky; brothers, Don Krafty of Sandusky and LeRoy Wobser of Wooster, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Lawrence and Luella Gertrude (Rader) Krafty; and sisters, Peggy Mineo and JoAnn Krieger.
A Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Angel's Catholic Church. The Rev. Chris Kardzis will officiate. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
