Clarence P. "JR" Kochensparger, 64, of Norwalk, passed away early Sunday morning, Aug. 19, 2007, in The Cleveland Clinic after an extended illness.
He was born March 27, 1943, in Sandusky, and attended Holy Angels Catholic School and Sandusky High School. He retired in 1997 from Ford Motor Company where he worked for 32 years. He was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711 and American Legion Post 83, Sandusky. He loved to dance and attend car shows, swap meets and restore classic cars.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Ward) Kochensparger whom he married March 7, 1997; daughter, Deborah L. Kochensparger of Sandusky; stepsons, Douglas Miller of Norton, Ohio, Shawn (Dawn) Miller of Englewood, Ohio, and Steve (Crystal) Miller of Napoleon, Ohio; nine stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Vivian) Kochensparger of Sandusky; sisters, Mary L. Fultz of Castalia, Doris A. Bretz of Monroeville, Shirley (Ray) Thom of Castalia, Olivia Schwiefert of Sandusky and Ruth (David) Witter of Huron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Elliot and Olivia Martha (Miller) Kochensparger; and brothers, John E. Kochensparger and, in infancy, Clarence W. Kochensparger .
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Wednesday until services at 7 p.m. at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. At his request, he will be cremated. Interment will be held later in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sandusky.
