Milton M. "Mickey" Barnack, 89, of Sandusky, died early Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born March 21, 1918, in Toledo, and moved to Sandusky in 1956. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and retired in 1980 from Ford Motor Company after 23 years of service. He was a member of Union Local UAW 1216 and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards.
He is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Timothy) Scalf of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Amiee and Joseph Manring; three great-grandchildren, Andrea Manring, Bricen Haar and Briana Haar; and several other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. and Marguerite (Petee) Barnack, and one brother Edward Barnack.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Wednesday until memorial services at 1 p.m. in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Dan Miller of First Baptist Church will officiate.
