Andrew T. Shaffoe, 94, of Norwalk, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 17, 2007, in Norwalk Memorial Home.
He was born March 23, 1913, in Ambridge, Pa. to the now deceased Michael and Mary (Hallas) Shaffoe, and came to this area in 1954 from Beaver, Pa. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army World War II. He retired in 1978 from New Departure in Sandusky. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed being a cowboy on the Kent Mosher Ranch in Augusta, Mont. He was also an avid sportsman and enjoyed snow skiing.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary I. (Kerecman) Shaffoe of Norwalk; his son, Thom (Carol) Shaffoe of Milan; daughter, Elaine Marie (Michael) Blackman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his brother, Robert Shaffoe of Tempe, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael, Gabriel, George and Edward Shaffo; and by sisters, Mary Carl and Helene Snyder.
There will be no local services or visitation. Graveside services will be noon Tuesday in Good Samaritan Parish Cemetery, Belle Acres, Pa.
Walker Funeral Home, Norwalk, is in charge of arrangements.
