Irene C. Radcliff, 87, of Sandusky, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born April 1, 1920, in Sandusky to Albert J. and Laura L. (Seals) Klatt, now deceased. On Feb. 8, 1940, in Covington, Ky., she married Dean E. Radcliff and he survives. Irene attended St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky, and was a homemaker. Throughout the years, she volunteered for many organizations, the most dear to her being Betty Rinderle and Double "S" Industries.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Dean; daughter, Sondra Lee Radcliff of Sandusky; brother-in-law, LeRoy Devanna of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Ruth Miller of Lynchburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret "Peg" DeVanna, Virginia Flecher; and brother, Paul Klatt.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
