Christina S. (Schmoll) Seckman, 46, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 6, 2007, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a 7-month battle with lung cancer.

She was born Nov. 11, 1960, in Sandusky and was a lifelong resident. She worked as an InfoOhio Liaison in the Library Services Department at NOECA. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1979 and Terra Community College in Fremont in January 1996, with an associates of applied science degree in technical writing and computer information systems. In May 2004 she received a bachelors of liberal studies degree from BGSU Firelands, Huron and was attending the University of Alabama master of library and information studies program. Christina was a member of Faith Memorial Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Seckman, to whom she was married for three years; her daughter, Amanda Nejedly; sons, Michael Nejedly of Miami, Fla., Christopher Nejedly of Jacksonville, Fla., Timothy Pean of Sandusky, and Thomas (Rachael) Pean III of Mississippi; stepdaughter, Lisa Conley of Cleveland; stepsons, Bradley (Marne) Titchnell of Columbus, and Daniel and Zachery Seckman of Sandusky; grand daughters, Penelope and Hazel Nejedly and Abigail Pean: sister, Valerie Thomas of Sandusky; brothers, Donald (Connie) Schmoll of Orleans, Neb., and Gary (Janine) Walton of Ohio; her mother, Patricia (Daniel) Higgins of Sandusky; one aunt in Norwalk; and one uncle in San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adolph Schmoll in 1977; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. Friday until services at 10:30 a.m. in Faith Memorial Church, 1320 E. Strub Road, Sandusky. Pastor Kenneth Hiser will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caring people at Firelands Regional Medical Center and Stein Hospice for all their comfort and assistance.
