Susie Lee "Aunt Sue" Franklin, 83, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007.
She was born Aug. 30, 1923, in Parkin, Ark., to Wallace and Ophelia (Scott) Robinson. She attended Sandusky Public Schools, and was employed by Philco before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church under Pastor Fred Tucker. Aunt Sue loved to crochet and fish and was a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan.
Susie had a heart of gold, her undying love for her family and friends will be truly missed. Aunt Sue was an example of how to "walk like Jesus."
Surviving and cherishing her memories is her foster son, Franklin (Debra) North of Sandusky; nieces, Jeanette (Charles) Charlton of Sandusky and Maxine (L.V.) Jordan, Augusta, Ga,; nephew, Wallace (Mae Etta) Robinson; special nephews, Darrell, Tracy and James Charlton, all of Sandusky; special friend, Cherrie Nicholson; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Louis Franklin; sister, Edna Roney; foster son, Charles North; and nephew, Billy Robinson.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Steve Robinson and the Rev. Tracy Shoemo will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Condolences may be made to toftfh.com.
