Walter A. Myers, 85, of Monroeville, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2007, morning in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Monroeville, to Leon and Anna (Kluding) Myers, now deceased, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and the Huron County Farm Bureau. He was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed fishing and playing cards; and met his late wife on the dance floor.
He is survived by his sons, Neil (Sharon) Myers of Monroeville and Lee (Theresa) Myers of Monroeville; his daughters, Carol Myers of Chicago, and Marilyn (Mark) Spaar of Norwalk; and six grandchildren; sister, Bernadette Hipp of Norwalk; and by his sister-in-law, Lois Myers of Gainesville, Fla., brothers, Roland Cramer of Sandusky, Louis Cramer of Attica, Virgil Cramer of Attica, Earl (Alice) Cramer of New Washington and Alan Cramer of Tiro, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred M. (Cramer) Myers in 2006; his son, Garald Myers in 1965; and by his brother, Clarence Myers.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Settlement Road, Norwalk, with the Rev. Kenneth Lill officiating. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
