Helen E. Miller, 95, formerly of Sunrise Blvd. in Fremont, died Monday morning, July 23, 2007, in Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton.
Helen was born June 24, 1912, in Fostoria, Ohio, to Howard and Ada (Holocomb) Ash. She was valedictorian of her class at Fostoria High School in 1930, and she married Richard J. Miller on March 2, 1935. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was the co-owner and operator of Roto Rooter in Sandusky with her husband Richard. She enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling in their motor home, sewing and gardening. Helen also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice "Jan" Stephens of Fremont; grandchildren, Jennifer (Rich) Kalb of Bucyrus, Jefferson R. (Jodi) Stephens of Gibsonburg and Kari Stephens of Vermilion; great-grandchildren, Cody Stephens, Jefferson J. Stephens, Austyn J. Stephens, Fisher Kalb and Carson Kalb; and niece, Pamela (Jim) Davidson of Willington, N.C.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; and her sister, Thelma McGrath.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday in Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 South Arch St., Fremont, where services will be 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
