Robert T. Parisi, 73, of Huron, died Monday, July 16, 2007, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, and moved to Huron in 1963 from New York. He worked with New York Central Railroad, Penn Central Railroad and Conrail for 41 years retiring in 1993. After retiring he worked for Thunderbird Hills Golf course for several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Huron; American Legion, Milan; Huron Eagles; and was a lifetime member of Norwalk VFW.
He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia (Carris); son, Robert (Alice) Parisi Jr. of Rossford, Ohio; his mother, Joann Parisi (Derenzo) of Jamestown, N.Y.; three grandchildren, twin girls, Shannon and Elizabeth and Dominic, all of Rossford; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Angelo Parisi; a sister, Joann Marie Genung; and two brothers, John and William Parisi.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron, where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday with The Rev. David Aber officiating. A private burial will be in McMillen Cemetery, Huron.
