Robert W. Patchen, 56, of Glendale, Ariz., and formerly of Hartland Center, Ohio, died July 11, 2007, in Glendale.
He was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Norwalk and was a 1969 graduate of Western Reserve High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a 22 year veteran of the National Guard. He was an employee of Wells Fargo Bank, Phoenix, for 22 years. He was a life-member of Firelands Post 2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Norwalk. He enjoyed home improvement projects and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lynda J. (Smith) Patchen of Glendale and by his sons and daughter in law, Duane and Amanda Patchen of Gilbert, Ariz. and Robert Patchen of Sandusky; his daughters, Jennifer Patchen of Phoenix and Elizabeth Patchen of Glendale; his stepson, Richard Lacy of Murietta, Calif.; and nine grandchildren; his father, George Patchen Sr. of Sandusky; his brother and sister-in-law, George and Dee Patchen Jr. of Sandusky; and his sisters, Phyllis Rosas of Fremont and Jackie Gessner of Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty (Weidinger) Patchen in 1970.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hartland Center Community Church, 2750 Court Road, Collins. The Rev. Todd Froehlich will officiate. Burial will be in Hartland Ridge Cemetery.
