Margaret Lucille (Baird) Bond, 93, of Norwalk, died Thursday, July 5, 2007, in Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Wellington, Kan., and graduated from Wellington High School. She attended Kansas State University, received her teaching degree from Bowling Green State University, and taught school at Milan Elementary for many years. She lived in North Fairfield and Milan before moving to Norwalk. Lucille was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, past president of the Women's Association, officer in the Presbyterial, member of its church circle, South Side Reading Club and the Erie County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne B. (Carol) Bond of Indiana, Thomas W. (Jewell) Bond of Ohio; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Bond; parents, Carrie L. (McBride) Baird and John S. Baird; brother, John R. Baird; sister, Elizabeth Maxine Bond; grandson, Timothy Alvey.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk. The Rev. Adrian N. Doll will officiate. Interment will be at the North Fairfield Cemetery. Arrangements by Evans Funeral Home, Norwalk.
